He was working very hard to provide safety for the whole group, what was not always easy with all participants.   • Good morning from Australia!! I have just completed my cruise on MS Spalato May 6-13, 2023. What an incredible experience I had. I have just completed the questionnaire for you and cannot explain how wonderful this sailing tour was All the staff on the cruise were just incredible - each staff member were wonderful & Tanja was amazing with her wealth of knowledge & also swift action to help those in medical need. Even checking in on me every day when others had more urgent needs I made friends from all over the world that I will keep in contact with. We had a terrific group of people on our cruise

  • First of all I want to thank you for a wonderful cruise. We love the SPALATO, Captain Zoran and the amazing crew. Having Matthew as our tour director was fantastic. He managed the excursions, special requests and our every need smoothly, professionally and always with a smile. His knowledge of Croatian history was very impressive and provided us with a wonderful understanding of Croatia, its people and its history. The food, especially the desserts, were excellent.

  • Have just returned from a great holiday, Croatian Islands Explorer, sailing around the islands of Croatia on the MV Dalmatia. Sailing around the islands was a beautiful experience, each one different with a guided tour. Our tour manager Danku was with us throughout giving excellent advice and guidance, with a sense of humour. The crew of MV Dalmatia made our time aboard the ship so enjoyable leaving us with lasting happy memories. Dado the captain, Ivan & Ivan the sailors, Nenad & Dimitrije the chefs and Filip the bar man & waiter where all very efficient, helpful, and friendly. Nothing was too much effort for any of them, working always with a smile to make our trip as enjoyable and memorable as it was. The opportunity to swim off the ship in lovely bays was great. The food was exceptional and always served with a smile.

The whole crew like Monica, Marino and the 2 friendly other guys (forgot the names) outdid themselves trying to please everyone and I know how hard this is. Freddy and Valter had accompanied us and gave great tips where to visit dinner places and we couldn’t have asked for better and nicer guides for our tours - and that’s not easy either. Always supporting everyone all the time! I am not on social media except WhatsApp, so I left my review online over the phone. You’re also more than welcome to share my impressions from my letter. What are the vessels like?
->

Katarina Line vessels are motorized ships made of wood or steel, varying in size, shape, and category. Some wooden vessels are over 100 years old and reconstructed for tourism, while most steel vessels are newly built or recently refurbished. All vessels comply with Croatian Ship Registry regulations.

Vessel Categories:

DELUXE SUPERIOR
The newest class, 47m+, is designed as a floating boutique hotel with glass, marble, and stainless steel materials. Includes hot tubs, sun decks, and spacious en-suite cabins (15-20m²) with premium amenities such as LCD TVs, bathrobes, and toiletries.
Included Services: Airport transfers, buffet breakfasts, three-course lunches, Captain’s dinner, guided sightseeing, tour manager, tastings, daily cabin service, complimentary Wi-Fi, and more.

DELUXE

Modern vessels (42-47m) with sun decks, hot tubs, and en-suite cabins (12-17m²). Designed for comfort with amenities like LCD TVs, safety boxes, and air-conditioning.
Included Services: Similar to Deluxe Superior, with slight variations.

PREMIUM SUPERIOR

Mini deluxe vessels (35-41m) with air-conditioned salons, sun decks, and cabins (8-14m²).
Included Services: Buffet breakfasts, lunches, Captain’s dinner, guided tours, daily cabin service, and Wi-Fi.

PREMIUM
Traditional yet modern steel vessels (29-35m) with air-conditioned cabins (8-14m²).
Included Services: Buffet breakfasts, lunches, Captain’s dinner, one guided tour, daily cabin service, and Wi-Fi.

TRADITIONAL ENSUITE
Wooden vessels with air-conditioned cabins and private bathrooms, mostly bunk beds.
Included Services: Continental breakfasts, lunches, and Wi-Fi.

TRADITIONAL
Charming wooden vessels with bunk-bed cabins, shared bathrooms, and no cabin air-conditioning.
Included Services: Continental breakfasts, lunches, and Wi-Fi.

How many crew members work on a vessel?
->

Depending on its size and category. Traditional and Traditional Ensuite vessels have 4 - 5 crew members: captain, chef, waiter and 2 sailors. The larger vessels and higher categories have 7 - 12 crew members.

How do I communicate with the crew?
->

At least one crew member speaks English. During the welcome speech upon arrival, all crew members will be introduced. Most Katarina Line guaranteed departures also feature a tour manager onboard for additional assistance.

Can I choose a specific vessel?
->

Requests for specific vessels can be made during reservation. While efforts are made to accommodate preferences, specific vessel assignments cannot always be guaranteed.


 

Which vessel categories have a hot tub or Jacuzzi?
