Dobar dan svima!
At the end of August 2021, we started our vacation in Croatia.
Having some relaxing days on Opatija-beach, Peter remembered our really exciting and funny holiday in the year 1989. That time we went on a „Pirate-Cruise “, together with 28 other young people. Two weeks fun on a well-managed old ship „VRGADA“, wonderful landscapes from Rijeka to Dubrovnik, beautiful city-visits like Trogir, Split, Hvar etc. and also a qualified Captain with his two sons, Nino and Zoran, who took care of their guests.
Looking for a cruise like that, we were surprised to find an office of Katarina-Lines in Opatija. The really kindly employee, Igor, offered us a Seven-Days-Cruise from Split to Dubrovnik, where we took part in.
We left Split on Saturday, 09-04-21 on board the „KATARINA “. Later those days we talked to our Captain, Ivan, about our great holiday of `89. When he heard the names Zoran and Nino he told us, that he might know them - we would be able to see Zoran at Hvar.
What a big and fantastic surprise for us meeting Zoran on board of his „NAUTILUS“ and recognizing, that he really was it…!
It made so much fun to talk about „the good old days “, remembering the simply way of vacation compared to today (see pics.).
