Absolutely perfect! A most relaxing fun-filled experience!

In July of 2024, my friend and I experienced our first Katarina cruise on the beautiful yacht the MARKAN. Our route was called “Dalmatian Paradise” beginning in Split and returning to Split. It was truly a wonderful trip and one of the best weeks of our lives! I’ve taken many cruises all of which I loved but this by far was “THE BEST”! 

The Captain, Petar, and his entire crew were amazing! I want to thank Ivan, Predrag, Marko, Duje and Andrea for making this trip so pleasant, fun and very comfortable. Compliments to the chefs, Sasa & Nikola, for the delicious and beautifully presented food! And, also for the best coffee selection ever! The yacht’s resident tour guide, Tatiana, was always so pleasant and she was very attentive to our needs. She went over and beyond! 

All the excursions were well-planned and enjoyable. I met such wonderful and fun-loving people on board. I’ll never forget all the good times we shared! The yacht was very comfortable, clean and spacious. Our room had a balcony. I am looking forward to a 2 cruise with Katharine- Line soon. I highly recommend Katarina Line. I will always cherish the memorable moments I have of this fantastic week on the MARKAN!

Our time aboard the Markan in Croatia was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we stepped on board, we were welcomed into a beautiful and comfortable setting that made us feel right at home. The ship itself is a stunning example of elegance and thoughtful design, providing all the comforts one could ask for while sailing through some of the most picturesque waters in the world. What truly set this trip apart was the incredible staff. Every crew member was not only attentive but also brought a sense of fun and warmth to the experience. Their humour and friendliness created an atmosphere that made every day feel like a celebration. It was clear that they took pride in their work, ensuring that each of us felt special and well taken care of. Beyond the beauty and comfort, the journey was also a fascinating dive into Croatia’s rich history. Our crew shared stories and insights that were both interesting and deeply rooted in the region's culture. It was a fun and engaging way to learn, and we left each port feeling more connected to the places we visited. After experiencing the Markan, it would be hard to return to one of the typical "floating hotels" that lack the personal touch and intimacy this trip provided. Every detail was considered, and the result was a truly memorable adventure that blended luxury, learning, and laughter in perfect harmony. If you're looking for an unforgettable way to explore Croatia, the Markan is the way to do it. We can't recommend it enough! 

Good morning, I recently returned from my first voyage on Captain Petar's vessel from your home port in Croatia, Opatija. The service was exceptional, probably in a similar category to some of the top hotels in LONDON. By way of explanation, I should explain that I am a boat-owner and have enjoyed travelling around most of the the continents of the world, both for business and pleasure. I would like to summarise the many services that we all enjoyed during that extraordinary and amazing week! The key person', Captain Petar, sets the standards for a successful of operation of this kind. He has a team around him that understands his philosophy of excellence. They have his full support and this shows in the high quality of the services they provide. Many of the other guests commented that they felt completely relaxed within the early days of the voyages. I was immediately impressed by Miloš and Ivan on that first day of our journey. They worked as a "team" serving food and drinks in the saloon, and quickly putting people at their ease. During the day, their skills at anticipating what each guest required helped promote a very friendly atmosphere. In the kitchen, Pauline and Rob created all the excellent meals and were happy to make changes, where necessary, for any personal tastes or allergy issues. In my own case, I had special ingredients that made my experiences quite special. My cabin was looked after by Andjelika and always looked at its best. Small touches including a small flower to show the personal touch. Everyone seemed to anticipate a great morning's swim, snorkelling or using the canoes and paddle boards. Here again, Miloš and Ivan kept us happy with drinks on the swimming deck. The process of backing the ship close to each sheltered cove for our morning swim was a "master class" for us all to watch and admire. Captain Petar always selected the best bay and position allowing us to enjoy each "gem". The crew is always on hand to give advice and guidance. The paddle boards gave us all a chance to laugh when someone fell off; good fun for everyone! I've saved to last, the services, Josephine, probably the most well-informed guide I have seen for a long time. Her walks were interesting, and stimulating and almost everyone enjoyed them. No question was beyond her skills and local knowledge. wherever we were; on the boat or on shore she kept us all involved. I will be coming back for other trips and have already contacted friends to " share these pleasures ". Best regards,  

I am writing to tell you about the trip that my husband and myself took on the Markan (voyage commencing the 15. 07. 22). We are not normally advocates of cruising and it was by chance we discovered your company and the trip along the Croatian Coast and islands. It was a region that I wished to visit but never fancied cruising. As our retired lives have been exceptionally busy doing voluntary jobs as well as supporting our daughter who has terminal cancer the Marian cruise was what we needed to recharge our batteries. I feel that is right to tell you that the experience was wonderful and we are determined to repeat the experience cruising further south to the Southern islands. What made it so special was that the holiday was exactly as it had been marketed - relaxing, friendly with the first-class quality of accommodation and service. The captain crew and guide were not only kind and hospitable but highly professional making our holiday a ‘bespoke experience’. We would like to repeat this experience next year as I have already mentioned. It would be great if the Captain, Crew and Guide could be told of our sincere thanks and appreciation. From the bluest of waters that seemed to blend seamlessly with the sky to the picturesque views that took our breath away at every turn, this journey exceeded all expectations. Each day brought new adventures, including private swim stops in secluded bays where we could truly relax and soak in the beauty of the Adriatic Sea. What made this trip even more special were the incredible people we met on board. Our shipmates quickly became friends, and by the end of the journey, we felt like one big extended family. The crew went above and beyond to ensure that we felt safe, comfortable, and taken care of throughout the entire voyage. They were more than just staff; they were part of the family too. Whether we were exploring charming coastal towns, diving into crystal-clear waters, or simply lounging on deck enjoying the sunshine, every moment was filled with joy and connection. If you're looking for an adventure that combines stunning natural beauty, fun experiences, and the warmth of new friendships, this Croatian sailing trip is a must. We came for the views but left with memories and friendships that will last a lifetime
