International Friendship Day
"Life was meant for great adventures and close friends." - July 30th - International Friendship Day
"Friendship is the hardest thing in the world to explain. It is not something that is learned in school. But if you haven't learned the meaning of friendship, you really haven't learned anything. ”- Muhammad Ali
The word friendship comes from the Latin word amicĭtas, which means ‘friendship’. Furthermore, it also comes from the verb amāre, which means ‘to love’. Every year, on July 30th we celebrate International Friendship Day to which we can join all those fundamental values such as love, sincerity, devotion and understanding. Psychologists Muriel James and Louis Savary list eight characteristics of friendship: honesty, understanding, loyalty, trust, compassion, caring, help in distress, and having fun togethe
Each of us has a series of anecdotes in life with friends. Whether from school, from work, some socializing or travelling. Through friendships, we also create memories that further make us laugh, rejoice, from which we learn and grow. Every true friendship needs to be nurtured and built from year to year. “Do you remember when we were? I remember like yesterday the time we were… That outing was the best. Where did we have dinner ...? ”- these are just some of the lines that are retold at friendly gatherings.
What memories do you have from the trips you took with your dear friends? We invite you to create some new memories, pack your bags, take your friends and go. Embark on some new adventures by sea, and we promise that you will tell stories with friends from these cruises of ours for years to come! And don't forget, travel is better with friends!
