Rab

One of the most beautiful Adriatic islands with marvellous scenic diversity, a variety of beautiful sandy beaches, and a cultural milieu dating back to pre-Roman times. St. Marinus the Christian founder of San Marino, was a native of Rab. It was 1936 when English king Edward VIII and Mrs Wallis Simpson, with their yacht Nahlin anchored in Rab harbour, visited the old town centre.

  • The old town with 4 bell towers of Rab, the symbol of the town and island, dating back to the eleventh century.
  • Rab Cake – a unique-tasting cake produced on the island for more than 800 years. Visit Vilma Pastry Shop to try Rab cake, similar to shortbread and to buy original local products such as olives, figs, grapes and honey.

Kamenjak hill – walk up to Kamenjak hill or take a taxi to see the best sunset ever and enjoy local specialities.

The Old Town is full of ' konobas'- taverns that offer traditional sea and meat dishes. Find out why gourmets have confirmed that the Kvarner scampi (prawns) is by far the most delicious and delicate among other Adriatic seafood. We recommend trying the scampi Buzara – one of the most famous Adriatic seafood dishes.

One of the most beautiful island in Adriatic sea!
