Insula Aurea or the “golden island” Krk is the biggest island in Croatia connected to the mainland with a bridge long 1430 m, which consist of two arches. Krk is an island with a rich cultural and historical heritage, as well as the main town of Krk. The town is ancient, being among the oldest in the Adriatic and because of the mighty city walls was the last Croatian island that was occupied by the Venetians.

Visit the cathedral from 12th century dedicated to the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary and Frankopan Castle (Croatian noble family Castle).
