Pučišća

This beautiful place arose from stone in a deep cove on the north of Brač. Nicely built stone houses with paved white roofs give the place its charm. Pučišća has always been known for its culture of stone masonry. The harmony and homogeneousness of the plebeian houses, the Renaissance palaces and Baroque buildings made from the white stone of Brač leave every visitor breathless.

With its 1700 inhabitants it is one of the greatest places on the island. The town is located on the inner part of the deep retracted bay on the northern side of the island. Connections are with the mainland by catamaran and ferry (Supetar to Split and Makarska-Sumartin). Pucisca is connected with other villages on the island by very good roads passing through Postira or Praznica. Besides stone cutting and processing, the population is engaged in agriculture: production of olive oil and wine, livestock, cheese and lamb. In recent years, tourism in Pucisca has increased significantly. Pucisca is especially suitable for nautical tourism as it has a calm and secure bay, with modern moorings equipped with electricity and fresh water.

You can visit the nearby beaches, picturesque landscapes of nearby coves and numerous restaurants serving traditional Dalmatian food, especially lamb specialities. Sports enthusiasts can go cycling, scuba diving or water-skiing. A few miles from Pucisca is one of the most beautiful bays on the island – “Luke” – featuring a beautiful pebble beach, moorings for yachts and other pleasure boats.

Cultural manifestations such as Summer of Culture, International Summer School of Music and Brač Summer Music Festival together with the serenity of the place will make a summer here an unforgettable experience.

Discover the hidden gem of Pučišća, a quaint village on the island of Brač. Nestled along the Adriatic coast, Pučišća boasts stunning white-stone architecture, crystal-clear waters, and a rich cultural heritage.
