Starting Your Cruise in the Split Region: A Simple Guide to Departure Ports

Split Cruise Departures: What You Need to Know Before You Cruise

Most Adriatic cruises traditionally begin in Split, one of the region’s main coastal hubs. At the moment, due to ongoing upgrades in Split’s port infrastructure, departures are organised across several nearby harbours in the wider Split area.

For guests, this changes very little in practice. All embarkation points are located within a short distance of Split and are selected to ensure a smooth, efficient embarkation. The cruise still starts in the Split region. The experience stays the same, only the exact departure point may vary. You’ll still be cruising the same islands, discovering secluded bays, and experiencing the Adriatic exactly as planned.

Disembarkation Day - SATURDAY
  • Departure from Omiš port at 08:00 AM
  • Arrival to Split harbour at approximately 08:45 AM
  • Drop-off at the same location in Split harbour

The ferry offers a fast and comfortable connection between Split and Omiš during the busy summer season.

All locations follow the same structured check-in process, with boarding typically starting late morning and departures early afternoon. The exact departure port is confirmed in advance and communicated before arrival.

30 days before the departure date, you will receive:

  • Clear check-in instructions
  • Exact address and location details
  • Support contacts in case you need assistance

Getting There Is Easy

All departure ports are:

  • Within a short transfer from Split Airport
  • Easily accessible by organised transfers, taxi, or private car
  • Supported by Katarina Line representatives on-site

If you have arranged a transfer with us, or booked any pre-cruise land tour we’ll take you directly to your embarkation point, no detours, no confusion.

Why This Works in Your Favour

Multiple departure points don’t complicate your trip, they improve it.

By operating across several nearby harbours, we avoid congestion in a single busy port and ensure:

  • Faster boarding
  • Smoother logistics
  • A more relaxed start to your cruise

Same journey. Better flow.

One Region, One Experience

Whether your cruise begins in Trogir, Omiš, Marina Baotić, or nearby Soline, you are still starting in the heart of Dalmatia, exactly where your Adriatic story begins.

And once you step on board, the only thing that matters is the coastline ahead.
