Today, discover one of the last remaining wetland deltas in Europe. Cruise to Metković, located on the banks of the Neretva River, after which the delta is named. Step aboard a barge ride through this lush landscape for a firsthand look into the rhythms of Neretva life—evoking a timeless charm found nowhere else on the coast. Continue to Vid to visit the Narona Archaeological Museum, Croatia’s first in situ museum, built on the remains of a Roman Augusteum. Among its highlights are 17 monumental marble sculptures of Roman emperors and their families.
