WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY

Looking at the world around us, the inexhaustible wealth that changes its form day by day, we think it does deserve our attention.

What is the environment? The definition says, in fact, everything that surrounds us. Therefore, it is enough just to turn around and see what today's day calls us to do: it calls us to take responsibility. To take responsibility towards other living beings with whom we share the environment, and then to act responsibly for the sake of those generations that will come.

This green oasis, only forty minutes away from the city of Rijeka, is home to many plant and animal species. The almost untouched nature is in perfect harmony of colours, smells and tastes. A wide range of green colours penetrates the blue shades of the sky. The murmur of water, the crackling of frogs and the singing of birds are the most beautiful symphony orchestra. Perfect.

And as the great Sitting Bull said, “We do not inherit the Earth from our ancestors; we borrow it from our children.”

And that's how we really should live. To preserve all these Earth beauties and not act as if another planet is waiting for us to go to live there.
