My recent trip aboard the Adriatic Queen was truly a standout experience. I can wholeheartedly say I absolutely love working with this boat and crew. If I had the chance to spend the entire season on this boat, I believe I could comfortably and happily work a much longer season down here. From the moment I arrived, I felt genuinely welcomed. I connected with each and every crew member — they treated me like family and made this more than just a job. Mare was a force of nature. Incredibly hardworking, constantly checking in on guests and ensuring every detail was perfect. Her attitude was always positive, nothing was ever too much trouble, and her attention to cleanliness and guest experience is unmatched.
Captain Ivo greeted me every single day with a smile and a big hug — a small but meaningful gesture that went a long way in making me feel at home. He was also extremely accommodating and ensured the travelers had many long swim stops. He also arranged another water taxi for Korcula out of his own pocket, to ensure we had more time on the island and were the first to leave in time for Dubrovnik.
Rino and Mateo were like brothers to me. Always supportive, always upbeat, and always willing to help in any way they could. Their energy and connection with the guests made a huge difference, and I could count on them to lift the vibe whenever needed.
In the kitchen, Predrag and Jess delivered some of the best food I’ve ever had on a boat — or anywhere, for that matter. Predrag is hands down the best chef in the Adriatic. I miss his cooking every single day. Jess not only helped in the kitchen but made sure every cabin felt like a luxury hotel — spotless rooms, fresh towels and linen, and an ever-present willingness to help.
Overall, this was a 10/10 experience, and I was genuinely sad to leave. I would love the opportunity to work with this crew again next year — I’d return in a heartbeat.
